The Lunesdale Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is pleased to announce that its Pub of the Year 2017 is the Three Mariners in Lancaster.

Presenting the certificate on April 13, branch chairman Barry Young said, This is a special pub to me as it’s the first one I drank beer in. When Robinsons took over the pub, I was worried that things would change for the worse. But Dom has kept standards up and it’s still a pub I want to drink in. This award was won in the face of stiff competition.

Accepting the award, tenant Dominic Leighton said, This certificate is not really for me, it should be shared between the staff, customers and the brewers who supply us.
