Martin organised a branch coach trip, the first for many years, mainly to visit some pubs, not at present served by public transport. A good turn out of 25, along with our regular driver, enjoyed a good evening out, first visiting the Punch Bowl at Burton in Lonsdale, the party made the pub even busier. A short ride to Ingleton, and the Masons, where we left the majority of the party to eat. Three hardy drinkers hiked through the rain to make our first visits to ‘La Cascada’, a wine and tapas bar which also serves real ale, Bowland Hen Harrier was sampled, and next door, the newish Old Post Office Micro Bar, which only serves bottled beers, but had a nice selection and another friendly welcome. A quick half in the Craven Heifer, and we rejoined the coach for the return home with a nightcap in the Bay Horse in Arkholme
