LUNESDALE BRANCH TRIP to the FACTORY TAP, KENDAL

Friday 4th August 2018, by Lawrence Bland

The ‘Magnificent Seven’ caught various buses up to Kendal for a visit to the Factory Tap in Kendal, where joined up with some members of the Westmorland Branch. The Tap is the main outlet for the Bowness Bay Brewery, several minutes walk away, where I made a short visit, nearby is Chadwick’s Brewery, a smaller part-time affair, which then wasn’t open, although we did sample their Miller Bridge Bitter, along with Bowness Bay’s Black Swan and Tern IPA. Then we walked up Lowther Street, visiting Burgundy’s Wine Bar & Brewhouse, home of the Kendal Brewing Company, and the new Fell Tap, an outlet for the Fell Brewery of Flookburgh. An excellent day all round.
