The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) runs an annual competition showcasing the best real ale pubs across the UK. The Lunesdale CAMRA Branch is pleased to announce that its Pub of the Year for 2019 is the historic Three Mariners in Lancaster.

The certificate was presented at the club by the branch chairman, Barry Young, to Dom Leighton. In handing over the award Barry commented:

Two years ago I had the privilege of presenting the Three Mariners Pub of the Year and not surprisingly we are back tonight to present them with the 2019 award. What makes a Pub of the Year? You need a good range of well kept real ales along with good food, good clientele and Dom and his excellent team providing the best possible service. It’s very hard work but that is what makes a Pub of the Year.

The Three Mariners is now in the running for the Regional Pub of the Year competition and we wish them the very best of luck.
