LUNESDALE CAMRA BRANCH trip to LEYLAND

Crankshaft Brewery Tap

by Lawrence Bland Four members caught trains to Leyland from Lancaster. Walking through town, we caught the Preston Bus 112 service to Moss Side and visited the Crankshaft Brewery Tap, which only opens on Friday and Saturdays. They only had the Crankshaft Leyland Tiger Cub on cask, which was very good. The bus service back to Leyland was somewhat erratic, so we made our way back different ways! Our next port of call was the Market Ale House, a micro, and a Squark ‘Pica’ from Manchester. Then onto the Leyland Lion, the Wetherspoon’s and a Salopian ‘Echoes of Symmetry’. We finished at the Golden Tap Ale House, I sampled a Blue Bee stout from Sheffield.
